CARRUM DOWNS RESERVE

Public BBQ

This park serves as an ideal location for a myriad of outdoor activities, featuring a spacious playground more suited to younger children. The large open space is often frequented by families and sports enthusiasts who enjoy the tennis courts, cricket nets, and multiple football fields. A walking track circumnavigates the ovals, providing a safe space for both sports spectators and individuals out for a leisurely stroll or run. The presence of a café, a temple, and vibrant peacock sightings add to the park's charm. However, visitors should take note of the limited shade over picnic tables, minimal water play at the playground, and the distance of the restrooms from the playground. Some have expressed concerns about the cleanliness and maintenance of the restroom facilities, as well as the limited parking spaces. Despite these minor inconveniences, the park offers a great field for walking dogs and a high fence for watching local footy games from the comfort of one's car.
